Hello Everyone,
Sorry it has taken me so long to do another entry for my blog. I just get so busy doing all my editing and working on the galleys for my books with my publisher. And of course like most of us writers, we have to do our own promoting and marketing. And sometimes it can be difficult so you have to try to be creative about it. It's just the name of the game for us writers.
I got to thinking about one of my professors I had for public speaking. He was quite an interesting man as he also was a director at the local theater. He always told all the students that to learn more about the craft of writing, it is essential to read, read, read, as many books and different authors as you can. He said your education doesn't stop when you graduate from college because to be an informed person, you have to always keep reading. And not only books but newspapers and magazines as well. Reading what other authors write about can help you to fine tune your own writing and learn your craft of writing so your writing gets better and stronger with every story and book you write. Being a writer means being an informed, well-rounded person. Traveling is also important to a writer as seeing places helps you to describe them when you're writing a story. Knowledge is always power.
So keep writing, and keep reading!!!

Keeping Your Writing Current
8:42 pm 2 July 2015
Hello Everyone,
Hope you're all having a fun summer. I've been thinking about our craft of writing and about how important it is to keep your writing current. Some writers have a tendency to write about the same subject all the time. And some writers tend to only write about their own life. And some writers tend to write about the past and some writers sad to say live in the past. To be a good writer, you have to expland your horizons and be adventurous. Write about all different subjects that interest you; write stories that keep you current with today's events, today's fashions, today's modern gadgets. Stay abreast of things. A good writer reads a lot. She reads magazines, newspapers and books. To become a better writer, you have to read what other writers are writing about; study the market, do research. And the most important thing for all writers is to write something every day even if it's only one poem or one page of a story. But write because that's what us writers do. It's our raison d'etre. So get out that laptop or notebook, and get writing.

Hello Everyone,
Christmas has come and gone and I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Now 2015 is coming in and I hope it will be a wonderful year for me and for everyone.
I'm busy at work on my sequel to my mystery/detective series. I'm also busy working on some new stories as well as editing and revising some other stories. A writer has to always stay current. Some writers tend to write about the same subjects all the time and so they don't stay current. A writer keeps current when you follow the news, read, read, read, talk to a lot of people either at the gymn, the store, the bank, the hair salon. wherever you might be. And a writer has to always stay positive that his or her writng is going to be published. Stay positive about being successful. Expand your horizons. If you always write mystery, then try to write a historical romance, or science fiction or a thriller. A writer should always try to be as eclectic and diverse as possible. Besides writing mysteries, I also write science fiction, children's stories, poetry, and even nonfiction, and I love to write ghost stories. I watch the evening news all the time, read the newspaper, read at least 8 or 9 nine books, a different one every night, talk wiith people, travel, and play my guitar and banjo. Being a musician keeps my mind working all the time as it has been proven that music expands the mind. Listening to music and watching TV also help to give you ideas for stories; it has always helped me to come up with ideas for stories.
So I hope I gave you some insight into how this writer keeps current and keeps writing.
Celine Rose Mariotti
Hello Everyone,
My name is Celine Rose Mariotti and I'm from the USA. Writing is my passion, my hobby, my obsession, my livelihood, and just a part of me. I don't know what I would be doing if I weren't writing all the time. Of course I also love to play my guitar and banjo. I am an avid reader and I read 8 or 9 books at the same time. I read anything from romances, to classics, to contemporary, mysteries, historical romance, and books about political figures and celebrities. I also read poetry books. In addition, I love to watch soap operas and I also like to go swimming.
When I write, it kind of just keeps coming to me. I just sit down at my computer or sit with a notebook in hand, and the magic starts happening. The characters just spring into my mind, the setting, the plot, and I just create my story. Sometimes I'll be helping my Mom with the housework, and part of my story starts coming into my head. I guess it's what's makes us writers unusual. All these other people in our head telling us what's next in the story we're writing. I am now working on my sequel to "Minister's Shoes". And everyday a new idea comes into my head for what's next in my story and what my good Rev. Castle has to do to solve this next big mystery.
Pretty soon, I will have another new book coming out, "Adventures on Capitol Hill-The Kidnapping of Senator Andy Thompson", another new series I have created. This series is all about our US Congress, it is a political adventure with committee hearings and floor debates.
Stay tuned for my next blog,
I am reading Mark Twain's autobiography. Anyone else out there also reading that?
A faithful writer,
Celine
